Meet Angela Monforte, Owner & Principal Landscape Designer

 Angela's love for nature, plants, and the outdoors led her to earn a Landscape Design Certificate from the New York Botanical Garden, and soon after, she founded Sun Scape Designs, a full-service residential landscape design firm based in Armonk, New York. She is a longtime resident of Armonk with her husband and two daughters. Her experience includes designing gardens that are deer-resistant, low-maintenance, and sustainable, while still offering vibrant color, texture, and four-season interest. Every design prioritizes both aesthetics and functionality—selecting trees, shrubs, and perennials that thrive locally and provide lasting beauty. Angela’s hands-on experience, combined with her professional training, ensures each client receives a landscape that adds value, comfort, and enjoyment for years to come. Prior to pursuing her passion for gardening and landscape design, Angela worked as an Account in the corporate world. Her financial knowledge has proven to be invaluable in the management and growth Sun Scape Designs.

Angela is a longtime member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD) and a recipient of a Silver Residential Design Award for her outstanding work at a residence in Pelham, NY. As a dedicated member of the Armonk Chamber of Commerce and the North Castle Beautification Committee (where she has volunteered for more than 14 years), Angela remains deeply connected to her community. Her contributions include designing seasonal plantings, holiday displays, public sculptures, and streetscape enhancements that have beautified all three hamlets of the Town of North Castle.
