Angela Monforte - Owner and Principal Designer

      Angela pursued her passion for garden and landscape design by earning a Professional Certificate of Landscape Design at the New York Botanical Gardens. She cultivated her dream further by establishing Sun Scape Designs, a full-service landscape design firm based in Armonk NY, servicing Westchester County, NY, and surrounding areas. Her firm works on large and small residential properties, and commercial establishments.

    Angela is a member of The Association of Professional  Landscape Designers and in 2022 she received a Silver Residential Design Award in recognition for her work on a home in Pelham, NY.

     Sun Scape Designs provides comprehensive landscape solutions. Angela manages the design and installation of every project from concept to completion. She and her team bring creativity and expertise to transform outdoor spaces into stunning and functional environments. She works closely with clients to understand their desires and needs to help them create their outdoor oasis. 

      She is actively involved in her community as a member of the Armonk Chamber of Commerce and has a 12-year tenure membership on The North Castle Beautification Committee. The committee is instrumental in enhancing three hamlets with seasonal plantings, holiday decorations, sculptures, and street signage. 

     Angela's first career was in the corporate world working as a financial accountant. She and her family have been residents of Armonk, NY since 1999. It was there on her one-acre property that she experimented with gardening and design. She learned to take into consideration the deer population, the site's condition, sun location, and climate. She prioritizes taking advantage of the cost-effectiveness of using perennials to add seasonal blooms, and the use of flowering trees, shrubs, and evergreens to provide year-round interest. Her hands-on experience has proven to be invaluable when working with clients. Angela's mission is to create lasting, and beautifully low-maintenance outdoor living spaces that clients can enjoy for many years.
